Washington DC Sober Living

BEGIN YOUR RECOVERY JOURNEY IN THE HEART OF OUR NATION

"We cannot live only for ourselves. A thousand fibers connect us with our fellow men." – Herman Melville

Washington DC embodies a magnificent mix of historic significance and cosmopolitan cool, featuring a rich array of cultural attractions, monuments, and civic experiences. The Palisades House is the premier sober living in Washington DC, located in the hip and vibrant Dupont Circle neighborhood, on the borders of Georgetown and Foggy Bottom. Given its eclectic and diverse community, Dupont Circle is home to a variety of recovery meetings, restaurants, gyms, eateries, bookstores, and a number of the city’s most celebrated museums such as The Phillips Collection.

These experiences are ideal for beginning a life of recovery and sober living in Washington DC and serve as the foundation of The Palisades House Program. When embarking on a life of recovery, we often need to rediscover what it means to experience our community in an entirely new, and exciting, way. Drawing on the structure and tranquility of our sober living residence, and the support and camaraderie of our staff and clients, our goal is to help clients engage with the world around them and all of the opportunities and experiences it provides. The hustle and bustle of DC’s urban backdrop is offset by the peaceful pockets of open space in the parks and plazas nearby. Running trails weave through nearby Farragut Square, offering residents ample options for physical exercise, meditation walks, and time to reflect.

Washington DC is a great place to start or continue your recovery journey. With all the city has to offer, it reminds us of the critical balance between motion and stillness in the process of healing and living a life of purpose and meaning. The Palisades House is here to support you wherever you may be on your journey and we look forward to sharing all that life, and sober living in Washington DC, has to offer.
